so. ...
so. i am leaving for
camp tomorrow. not that you can tell by the beginning but i'm
actually very excited!!!! however i am in sort of a nostalgic mood and
am just realizing how much more my friends mean to me this year.....not
that they didn't mean anything to me last year but i wasn't really
attached to them like i am now. I am going to miss everyone a
lot, and last year it was kind of like whatever. I kinda like
this because usually i get attached to someone before i have to say
goodbye for basically ever. Like my old coach I actually started
to like right before he left and moved to PA. And friends from
the gym I get really attached to and close with right before they go to
college. So this time I'm attached to people but I'm the one
leaving, which is a change. And i'm not leaving for good, i still
have 2 more years to enjoy with them, which is also good. Maybe
I'm finally learning. That would be a first.
On the same(ish) note, I'm very excited to see everyone from camp who i
haven't seen for the most part since last year!! i have my worries
about how this year is going to go, but at least i'm sure it will be
fun! I mean when is it not. kinda sucks that my favorite
place and people in the world I only get to see for two weeks.
But maybe that's why I like them so much? Probably. That's
cool though. It's someplace I know I will always find someone to
talk to at, and I know I'll never have to leave it, even after I
graduate, so that's some sort of security that I'm not loosing everyone
when I graduate I guess. Whatever. Enough of this. I
am going to go have a nice night at home before I leave. Maybe
write a poem or two who knows.

love
So I 've been thinking.
What is love anyway? I mean there's love of something objective,
like a sport or a color or a place. And there's love in a family,
but that's a different kind of love too. Then there's love
between friends, something that holds two people together in an
(almost) irreversible bond. But it's this last kind of love that
eludes me: romantic love. You hear and see it every day on
TV and the movies and even with people around you, but how many people
actually know what it is, what it feels like? I certainly
don't. Something about it escapes me. I'm not sure that I
don't believe in it, but I can't say that I faithfully believe in it
either. Maybe you have to experience it to believe it, I don't
know. I just can't seem to grasp it - I can't even imagine
finding one person that I love conditionally over every single other
person in this world. You will never know everyone. You
will never even meet half of the people out there. Of the people
you meet, you might actually get to know a 1/4 of them. So from
that tiny fraction of all the people out there, supposedly there is THE
ONE for you? Maybe I'm just unlucky and the person who is THE ONE
for me is somewhere in Australia or something and I'll never meet
them. Or maybe everyone else is lucky and their person happens to
be near enough for them to meet. But isn't it kind of boring with
just that one person? How do you know that some person you meet
on the street corner isn't better for you than the person you're
with? I don't think you can, but if you can't, then is love
really just the person you feel the most connected with, even if they
aren't perfect for you? What if there isn't anyone perfect for
you? I wish I could believe in this love thing, but I just can't
seem to find something that is concrete enough for me to believe in
it. Trust me, I want to find someone that I will fall in love
with, but will I ever find them??
bushy bush......
George W. Bush's 50 greatest accomplishments
1. I attacked and took over two countries.
2. I spent the US surplus and bankrupted the US treasury.
3. I shattered the record for the biggest annual deficit in history (not easy)
4. I set an economic record for the most personal bankruptcies filed in any 12 month period.
5. I set all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the stock market.
6. I am the first president in decades to execute a federal prisoner.
7. I am the first president in US history to enter office with a criminal record.
8. In my first year in office I
set the all-time record for the most days on vacation by any president
in US history (tough to beat my dad's, but I did).
9. After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, I presided over the worst security failure in US history.
10. I set the record for most campaign raising trips by any president in US history.
11. In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their jobs.

18. I cut health-care benefits for war veterans.

most people worldwide to simultaneously take to the streets to protest
me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any
one person in the history of mankind.
20. I dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.
21. I've made my presidency the most secretive and unaccountable of any in US history.
22. Members of my cabinet are the
richest of any administration in US histiry (the poorest
multimillionaire, Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after
her).
23. I am the first president in US history to have all 50 states of the union simultaneously struggle against bankruptcy.
24. I presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud in any market in any country in the history of the world.

vast majority of the international community.
26. I have created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the US.
27. I set the all-time record for

35. I am the all-time US (and world) record holder for the most corporate campaign donations.
36. The biggest lifetime
contributor to my campaign, who is also one of my best friends,
presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in world
history (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of EnronCorporation)
37. I spent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in US history.
38. I am the first president to
run and hide when the US came under attack (and then lied, saying the
enemy had the code to Air Force 1).
39. I am the first US president to establish a secret shadow government.
40. I took the world's sympathy
for the US after 9/11, and in less than a year made the US the most
resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure
in US and world history).
41. I am the first US president in
history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my
presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability.
42. I changed US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.
43. I set the all-time record for
the number of administration appointees who violated US laws by not
selling their huge investments in corporations that later made bids for
gov. contracts.
44. I have removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in US history.
45. I have created the most
divided country in decades, possibly the most divided that the US has
been since the Civil War.
46. I entered office with the
strongest economy in US history and in less than two years turned every
single economic category heading straight down.
47. I have at least one conviction for drunk driving in Maine (Texas driving record has been erased and is not available).
48. I was AWOL from the National
Guard and deserted the military during time of war. I refused to take a
drug test or even answer any questions about drug use.
49. All records of my tenure as
governor of Texas have been spirited away to my father's library,
sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view. All records of any
SEC investigation into my insider trading or bankrupted companies are
sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.
50. All minutes of meetings of any
public corporations for which I served on the board are sealed in
secrecy and unavailable for public view. Any records or minutes from
meetings I (or my VP) attended regarding public energy policy are
sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.

Politics
Sorry to go political on all of you, but I feel the need to. So you may
know that Bush made a nice little speech last night to some army folks
in Fort Bragg, which is great and all, but I have a few comments to
make on that. First of all, at least in my opnion we should never
have done more than find Sadam Hussien and leave, but clearly it's too
late for that now. It is not our place or our right to intervene
with their government and try and force them into our type of
government because we deem it superior to theirs. Secondly, he
claims that by staying there we are ending the violence there, when
really we are one of the main causes of it. I don't know about
you but I found his whole speech kind of bogus. Feel free to
leave me your opinions, but I think we should just get the hell out of
there since it's not our buisness and we're causing more deaths than
we're saving.
